MidFirst Bank Donates $25,000 to the Tulsa Area Boys & Girls Clubs

Oct 20, 2021 | by Chris Johnson

The Salvation Army of Tulsa area Boys & Girls Clubs received a generous donation of $25,000 from MidFirst Bank on October 20th. The donation, which was formally presented to Major Sarah Nelson during a press conference, will go towards much needed building repairs and upgrades, as well as the purchase of technological equipment used by Club members. The donation will be allocated to The Salvation Army in $5,000 gifts over the course of five years, helping to ensure that the needs of The Boys & Girls Clubs continue to be met year after year.

The Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club provides parents with a safe place to bring their children during the day. Our programming provides youth, many who are from low-income or at-risk households, opportunities to receive educational tutoring, participate in organized recreational activities, and take part in character building mentorships to help them get a head start on their futures as working adults.

Major Sarah Nelson says, "We are so grateful for MidFirst Bank’s generous donation of $25,000. Their dedication to serving our community allows us to say “yes” to more students. More dreams discovered, more passions explored, more goals met. This gift will play in integral part in meeting the needs of countless kids who walk through the doors of any Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club.”
