The Salvation Army is stepping in and providing the music and arts programs that many schools can no longer afford. From choirs to instrument training, poetry to painting, drama to dance, after-school lessons and activities help introduce children to the beauties of the fine arts. Meanwhile, camps and retreats devoted to musical training and spiritual development help guide budding musicians on their journey.

Music Ministries

The Salvation Army welcomes people of all ages, teaching them how to sing and play instruments to the glory of God and for the blessing of others. Performance opportunities abound, whether it’s playing in a Salvation Army band, singing in the choir, leading Sunday worship in a praise band, or spreading the joy of Christmas through music at one of our red kettles.

Music Camps

Students with a passion for music can develop that passion at our music camps. By focusing on in-depth musical training and spiritual development, we give them a foundation for growth. And we offer them a variety of classes to broaden their fine arts horizons.

Worship Arts Retreats

Artists, art lovers, students, officers, and local leaders all unite and grow together at Salvation Army retreats. From worship teams to dance troupes, people from a variety of backgrounds join together to explore the arts, hone their crafts, and strengthen the bonds of friendship and support.
