Discover Radical Faith at Bible Conference 2026

Mar 11, 2026 | by Brad Rowland

From August 9-15 at the Lake Junaluska Conference & Retreat Center, hundreds of Salvationists will converge to focus on developing a deeper, more radical faith. Officers, soldiers, families, and friends are invited to attend the USA Southern Territorial Bible Conference, taking place for the 74th time this year.

The theme for the 2026 edition is ”Radical Faith: Not By Might,” beginning a three-year series focused on radical faith. The inspiration for the three years – beginning with “Not By Might” (2026), followed by “Nor By Power” (2027), and “But By My Spirit” (2028) – is Zechariah 4:6: “So he said to me, ‘This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: “Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,” says the Lord Almighty.’”

Lake Junaluska, nestled between the mountains of North Carolina, provides a picturesque setting, encouraging renewal and quieting the distractions that may clutter our daily lives. Each day features strong biblical teaching along with corporate worship, allowing plenty of time for fellowship and overall spiritual development.

A dynamic Youth Conference will also run parallel to the general sessions. Childcare and Youth Conference programming is open for young people from 0-17 years of age, with a focus on equipping the next generation to lead with steadfast faith. The young people will showcase what they learn throughout the week in a dedicated youth program on Saturday, August 15. Young adults will also find several special opportunities for fun, fellowship, and spiritual growth throughout the week.

“We’re excited to invite you to join us once again in the beautiful mountains of Lake Junaluska for Bible Conference 2026,” says Roberta Simmons-Smith, territorial director of special events. “We’re excited to kick off our three-year ‘Radical Faith’ journey. Stay tuned for more announcements about special guests and speakers. We can’t wait to see you there!”

The opening session of the week will feature a concert from Leeland, a Texas-based Christian band composed of Leeland Mooring, lead singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, alongside co-writer Casey Moore. Leeland is a four-time GRAMMY and eight-time Dove Award nominee, and their lives, ministry, and music are a true extension of their passion to simply worship God personally and in community.

During the week, the Adult Rehabilitation Center Command will share their annual program of worship and praise. On the evening of Friday, August 14, a dynamic theatrical production, “This is My Story,” will be performed by special guests Theater for the Thirsty, in conjunction with Territorial Arts Ministries (TAM), and the Territorial Youth Band. And, in what promises to be a rousing conclusion to the week’s festivities, Saturday, August 15 will feature the official Welcome of Cadets from the “Rescued” session who will arrive at the Evangeline Booth College for Salvation Army officer training this summer.
