The Salvation Army, an internationally recognized non-profit, faith-based organization, has a job opening for a Communications Specialist for the Alabama , Louisiana, Mississippi Divisional Headquarters located in Jackson, MS . This position assists in planning, developing, coordinating, maintaining, and improving the day-to-day divisional communication operations with the purpose of enhancing both internal and public awareness and support for programs and services that advance the Army’s mission. This position provides the capacity to strengthen community relations, provide better public information, forge stronger media relations in locations within the Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi Division (ALM). This position supports the Corps and Service Extension locations in their work with media and the promotion and execution of Salvation Army events, services, disaster relief, etc.; promotes the mission of The Salvation Army (TSA) by analyzing, developing, and maintaining a robust social media and website communication presence for DHQ and the local corps. This position empowers the field to make use communication platforms including social media, website, Canva and SharePoint; plans, executes, monitors, and evaluates all web-based and social media functions for The Salvation Army’s Alabama, Louisiana, and Mississippi Division consistent with the Division’s communications strategy.

Donor Relations Specialist – Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi Division

The Salvation Army, an internationally recognized non-profit, faith-based organization, has a job opening for a Donor Relations Specialist for the Alabama , Louisiana, Mississippi Divisional Headquarters located in Jackson, MS . This position plans, designs, and implements a comprehensive mid-level donor cultivation, communication, and solicitation strategy that appropriately and consistently promotes the retention and advancement of mid-level donors.  Mid-level donors are those who gave between $1,000 and $5,000 cumulatively in at least one of the past two fiscal years. Develops and accomplishes production goals related to targeted portfolio revenue and mid-level donor advancement. Works collaboratively with the Divisional Development Department staff and local development teams.
