Support the Red Kettle Program to Help Serve Our Community All Year
As Christmas starts to peek its head around the corner, The Salvation Army of Greater Winston-Salem kicks is gearing up to kick-off its annual Red Kettle Campaign on November 14, 2025. The campaign helps raise vital funds that support local programs providing food, shelter, Christmas assistance, and emergency aid to thousands of families across Forsyth, Davie, Stokes, and Yadkin counties throughout the year.
“This campaign is about transforming the lives of people we see every day, but have no idea how hard they struggle” said Major Chuck Whiten, Area Commander of The Salvation Army of Greater Winston-Salem. “Every donation, every volunteer shift, and every sponsorship helps us bring hope to our neighbors in need, right here in our community.”
Last year, generous support from the community made it possible for The Salvation Army to provide:
- Critical assistance to over 26,000 people in need
- More than 17,000 meals in our Center of Hope family shelter
- Christmas gifts for 1,500 children through the Angel Tree program
With demand for services continuing to rise in all of our programs, we need your help now more than ever, either through donations or volunteering.
Individuals, families, civic groups, churches, and businesses are all encouraged to sign up as a volunteer to ring the bell at a Red Kettle location of their choice, or create their own Virtual Red Kettle campaign.
Volunteers can register online at www.RegisterToRing.com to sign-up for a shift or create their own Virtual Red Kettle.
Donations can made at one of our many Red Kettle locations or at www.SalvationArmyWS.org
