Spotlight

Help us bring food—and hope—directly to neighbors in need
in our neighboring counties!

The Salvation Army of Knoxville serves six local counties. Our Mobile Food Pantry travels into these communities throughout our service area to provide groceries and other services to individuals and families who may have difficulty accessing other food resources.

We are looking for a couple of dependable volunteers to serve regularly with our Mobile Food Pantry team. Volunteers will assist staff with preparing and loading food, traveling to distribution sites, setting up, distributing grocery boxes or food items, and helping with cleanup. You’ll also have the opportunity to greet and interact with the families we serve, helping create a welcoming and caring experience.

Our Mobile Food Pantry typically operates about once a month, although dates and locations vary. We hope to build a consistent small-but-mighty team of volunteers who become familiar with the process and can serve when available—so when one volunteer has a conflict, others may still be able to join us.

This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to make an ongoing difference without committing to a weekly volunteer schedule.
