Beginning Sept. 15th, 2026 you will find holiday volunteer opportunities for both Murfreesboro and Nashville.

A reminder that we will be moving to a new volunteer system this year. If you'd like to go ahead and establish your account prior to opportunities becoming available please click here and follow the instructions below:

1. Click on Add Additional Information
2. On the Sign In page click No Account? Create One – it is blue underneath the text box.
3. Enter your email address, then continue through the process, including verifying your email, creating a password, and providing basic demographic information
4. Digitally sign our liability waiver and photo release forms. If signing up for Kettles, there will be a short one and a half minute video to watch as well.
5. VERY IMPORTANT! Check your email for confirmation that your credentialing is complete. Then return to the opportunity you wanted to volunteer for to secure your shifts. Even if you picked a shift prior to starting the credentialing process, it will not have saved that for you. You must go back and secure the day and time you are seeking once all credentialling is completed and acknowledged.

Once you complete those steps, you will have your account set up in the new system and ready to register for upcoming opportunities! Depending on the type of opportunity, you may have to complete another step, such as watch a video, or a background check and training if working with children. Each opportunity will automatically walk you through the steps!

Angel Tree Senior Application - Sept. 29 & Oct. 1

Volunteers are needed to assist in inputting our senior angels' paper applications into our online system. This opportunity will be data entry based and we can provide the computers. Shifts are Tues. Sept. 29 from 1pm to 3pm and Thurs. Oct. 1 from 10am to noon.

Angel Tree Tag Preparation - Oct. 15 & 16

Volunteers are needed to help us prepare our Angel Tree Tags for delivery to our Corporate Adoption Partners. You will assist with organizing the tags and building adoption kits. Shifts are 9:30 am to Noon or 1 pm to 3:30pm both days.

Mall Booth Volunteers - November 6 through December 4

Volunteers are needed to man our adoption booths at Coolsprings Galleria and The Mall at Green Hills on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from Nov. 7th through Dec. 5th. You will assist donors in adopting angels from our tree, receiving gifts back from donors, and ensuring they are tagged and labeled appropriately.

Friday and Saturday shifts are 10am - 1:30pm, 1:30pm - 5pm, and 5pm -8pm. Sunday shifts are Noon - 3pm and 3pm to 6pm.

Angel Tree Warehouse - Sort, Bag, and Tag Volunteers - Nov. 16 through Dec. 12

During our Sort, Bag, and Tag opportunity, volunteers are needed to do a variety of tasks in our warehouse, some of which are:

• Setting up and organizing the warehouse in preparation for gift returns
• Checking returned Angels bags to make sure they meet the requirements.
• Shopping to complete an Angels bag or fill in for a missing Angel if needed.
• Organizing and assisting in our Forgotten Angel Toy Store 
• Assembling bikes and organizing/labeling items in our oversized gift area.

Volunteers are needed Monday - Friday Nov. 16th - 24th and Monday- Saturday Nov. 30th - Dec. 12th. Shifts will be from 9 am - 12 pm and 1 pm - 4 pm

Max number of people in a group sign-up per shift is limited to 25 - Nov. 16 - Dec. 4th. and 40 per shift from Dec. 5th - 12th. You can split your group over more than one shift if needed. Make sure you enter how many guests are in your group when registering for your shift so that all spots needed are reserved.

IMPORTANT WHEN REGISTERING FOR A GROUP: You will need to say how many Guests are coming with you for each shift when registering, which will be the size of your group minus yourself. This will secure all the spots you are requesting for the date. We will follow up later with a link where individuals can register to secure their spots within your reservation.

Gift Return Assistance - Nov. 21 - Dec. 5th

Volunteers are needed to assist at our main office as Angel Tree gifts are returned. Volunteers will help unload cars, repackage, and label gifts in the appropriate bags.  This will involve some lifting and navigating a few stairs. Shifts are Mon - Friday from 9am - Noon, Noon to 3pm, and 3pm to 6pm.

Toy Field - December 8

On Tuesday, Dec. 9th, volunteers are needed to assist as we fill the End Zone at Titan's Stadium! Volunteers will assist in collecting toys from donors, organizing them in the end zone, and then helping load the trucks at the end of the night. Shifts are 6am-9am, 9am-Noon, Noon - 3pm, and 3pm-7pm.

Angel Tree Distribution - December 15th through 17th

During our Angel Tree Distribution, we need volunteers who can assist in locating and transporting Angel Tree gifts to our families' vehicles as they arrive to receive them. This includes tasks like:

• Greeting and checking in families as they arrive in our drive-through pickup line
• Helping locate gifts in the warehouse and transporting them outside
• Helping load vehicles outside
• Fill in for any missing angels or items that are discovered

Volunteers are needed on Tuesday, Dec. 15 through Thursday, Dec. 17th. Shifts will be 8 am - 11:30 am, 11 am - 2:30 pm, 2 pm - 5 pm. The overlap in shifts is to provide time to train the incoming group before the previous group leaves so as not to slow the distribution drive-through line. Depending on how many families are picking up gifts each day, the final shift for the day may end earlier than 5pm.

Please Note: No children under the age of 16 will be able to participate in Angel Tree warehouse organization or distribution windows. They are welcome to volunteer at the Mall Booths or at Toy Field with adult supervision.

Red Kettle Challenge

Want to make a direct impact on your neighbors? Your group can sign up for the Red Kettle Challenge with the goal of raising $1000 in their kettle before New Year's! $1000 is 1 month of shelter in our gap housing, or 100 meals for those living in encampments, or 1 month's rental assistance to a family. You can reach your goal by ringing in front of a store, having an online kettle, sponsoring a matching kettle, or any combination of the above! Will you say Challenge Accepted?

Can't commit to the Red Kettle Challenge, but would still like to ring the bell at a kettle for a few hours this Christmas? We'd love to have you volunteer and enjoy a fun time with your family, friends or co-workers while helping us change lives.
