Our Leadership

Salvation Army Programs are led by Salvation Army Officers. These officers are responsible to lead by assessing needs, delivering programs and directing ministries for our local community. From serving food to balancing the books, they function as the Executive Directors and the Pastors for the The Salvation Army of Alamance County.

Why the uniform?

Lieutenants Jimmy & Gessica Pierre consider it a blessing to be the current Commanding Officers at The Salvation Army of Alamance County. Before this appointment, they were stationed at the Salvation Army’s College for Officer Training in Atlanta, Georgia, where they graduated in June 2021 as part of the Messengers of Grace session. They are both lifelong Salvationists and have worked for The Salvation Army in various capacities before Officership. Lieutenants Jimmy and Gessica are both passionate about sharing the love of Jesus with those they encounter, and they have devoted the rest of their lives to the service of others.

Sharing God's love by serving our community

One Mission

Into the world of the hurting, broken, lonely, dispossessed and lost, reaching them in love by all means we will...

- emphasize our integrated ministry
- reach and involve youth and children
- stand for and serve the marginalized
- encourage innovation in mission

Local Mission

The Salvation Army of Alamance County will be a place of belonging - a diverse and unified group of staff, volunteers, program participants, service recipients, donors, and customer. We will be agile and financially stable, ready to meet the changing needs of our community and able to serve all who may need us.
