Mar 9, 2022 | by Toni Baraka

The Salvation Army reopened its community gym in Savannah after major renovations.

On Monday, Community leaders came out for a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the updated facility.

We're so grateful for those who made it possible for us to put this new floor down,” said Major Paul Egan, Corps Officer for The Salvation Army. “Some of the kids that we work with don't always get the best of stuff, so now to have the very best is absolutely fantastic.”

Savannah Mayor Van Johnson came out to the event which was complete with entertainment from The Savannah Philharmonic.
