partner and donating to support our efforts
to reduce hunger in our community!

Hunger Relief Programs

No one should have to choose between paying bills and putting food on the table. Unfortunately, that is the reality for many of our neighbors in the Carolinas. That's why we offer hunger relief programs and services to combat food insecurities.

Our Free Food Friday program offers local members of the Durham community the opportunity to shop for free from 10 AM to 12 PM. This initiative is designed to provide essential groceries and support to those in need, ensuring everyone has access to nutritious food. We are committed to helping our community thrive by addressing food insecurity through this valuable resource.

Food Lion Feeds Charitable Foundation and The Salvation Army of Durham, Orange and Person counties are teaming up to provide access to nutritious food and address food insecurity. The Foundation provided a Nourishing Our Neighbors grant to support local families experiencing hunger. Thank you for helping provide food and hope for families in our community. #FoodLionFeedsCharitableFoundation
