The Salvation Army Kenneth Hill Adult Education Program
There are many potential barriers to continuing education. The Salvation Army and the Kenneth Hill Foundation don’t want cost to be the barrier that prevents residents of Hood County from pursuing their education and dreams. This practical assistance will help individuals gain the formal education and training necessary to secure employment, develop their careers, and achieve an improved standard of living for themselves and their families.
What is the Kenneth Hill Adult Education Program?
The Salvation Army is excited to work with the Kenneth Hill Foundation to make educational scholarships available to qualifying residents from Hood County. Funding is available for a wide range of educational opportunities including four-year and two-year college courses, community college classes, vocational and technical schools, professional and licensing programs and more. The program hopes to empower individuals to continue their educational goals while providing transformative assistance to qualifying families and individuals.
Qualifications
The Salvation Army Kenneth Hill Adult Education Program Committee is seeking underserved, graduating high school students and adults who are committed to furthering their education and improving their communities. Recipients must be residents of Hood County and demonstrate financial need. They must be enrolled or have been accepted to a two-year or four-year college or university, vocational school, professional certification or licensing program. Eligible applicants may receive scholarships for tuition, books and fees, and other education-related expenses while successfully enrolled in school. To qualify for scholarship renewal, students must be on a graduation/completion track and maintain a GPA of 2.0 or above satisfactory competence levels.
