Welcome to the 2025-2026 Salvation Army Women's Auxiliary Meetings.

If you are looking for community service opportunities that will impact others and enrich your life, consider joining the Auxiliary. We welcome all guests and potential new members to any of our monthly meetings. Meet people; learn more.

Dates: September - May on the second Tuesday of each month.
Times: 10:00-10:30 Meet and Greet
10:30-11:30 Business Meeting and Program
11:30- 12:30 Optional Lunch (self-pay)

September 9, 2025

Kickoff Event & Breakout Team Huddles
SAWA President, Neeca Leitao, will present Living Our Mission. SAWA Council Leaders will hold breakout sessions for members and guests to interact on topics of interest. Sharon Grindstaff will encourage members to review the list of volunteer activates and sign up for their specific areas of interest.

October 14, 2025

National Domestic Violence Awareness Month
Mary Flores, Crime Victim Liaison for the Hood County Sheriff's Office, will explain the GAP program. Mary will detail the ways SAWA volunteers can become involved. October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and everyone is encouraged to wear purple.

November 11, 2025

Philip Burn from The Salvation Army Divisional Communications Director - TX.
Philip has worked for The Salvation Army for 30 years; 15 years in his current role as communications Director and previously as the Music Director. Philip is a passionate communicator and people person.

December 19, 2025

Christmas Music Concert
The Melody Belles, under the direction of Eve Behan, will be providing the musical entertainment for our annual Christmas luncheon.

January 13, 2026

La Reunion
Pastor Justin Jeter and Austin Skaggs from First Christian Church along with Nancy Worcester will be giving a presentation on La Reunion. La Reunion was formerly Ruth's Place Oak Trail Shores.

February 10, 2026

Love Your Heart
Our own Lynn Morgan will share her experience on how to maintain a healthy heart.

March 10, 2026

Legacy Giving
Ryan Britt, Senior Associate, Planned Giving Director for The Salvation Army, will share the importance of Estate Planning and opportunities to leave a legacy through Planned Giving.
