SANDERS MISSION CORPS

GET DIRECTIONS

The Louisville Sanders Mission Corps has come a long way since its humble beginnings on a fishing trawler docked near the Ohio River in 1935. Known early on as the Point Corps, big changes came in 1962 thanks to the generosity of long-time Salvation Army advocate and native Kentuckian Colonel Harland Sanders.

The Corps that now bears his name is located inside the former MALE High School building on Brook Street in the heart of the Louisville Area Command. The Corps has never forgotten its humble “homeless” roots as the Good News of Christ is offered to thousands of homeless men, women and children each day living in the shelters.

The Sanders Mission Corps also maintains a universal focus and seeks to welcome people from all walks of life into its family of faith and spiritual growth.
