Serving Those Who Served Us First

VETERAN TRANSITIONAL HOUSING
& SUPPORT SERVICES

The Center of Hope provides housing and individualized case management for 38 Veteran men, women and families who stay in this program briefly while housing is prepared, or for up to a year while they work on getting connected to benefits through the VA, work on barriers to housing, and address any other challenges they may face. The Veteran’s Program supports Veterans and their transition to independent living and reconnect to community.

Veterans Participate In:

  • One-on-one meetings with their Case Manager to set goals, develop financial skills, and prepare for housing and employment
  • Veteran town-hall style meetings with Case Managers
  • Educational classes including Nutrition and Meals on a Budget, Housing Readiness and Job Search Skills
  • Community outings such as baseball games, museums, and local events
  • Access to spiritual support and connections to their faith community

VETERAN CASE MANAGEMENT

The Salvation Army provides case management for up to 40 Veterans a year who are moving to permanent housing or are living on their own but may be at risk of losing their housing. The goal is to keep Veterans stable in their homes and prevent a return to homelessness. We accept referrals from community partners serving Veterans who are not eligible for other Veteran’s case management services.

Veteran’s Services are provided in partnership with the Veteran’s Administration Healthcare for Homeless Veterans. Funding is provided by the Veteran’s Administration Grant Per Diem Office.
