How we help Prevent Homelessness

The Salvation Army provides emergency financial assistance for rent and utilities to help households prevent homelessness. Because each community is unique, the details of financial assistance programs vary between our different commands. There are requirements for assistance that vary by location. These often include, but are not limited to, a valid photo identification card, your social security card, and various other supporting documents. Please do not hesitate to contact your local Salvation Army office for complete details or to schedule a consultation with our staff.

UTILITIES ASSISTANCE

We also administer the WARM program for the City of Rocky Mount. To find out if you qualify for assistance and if funds are available, call our trained social worker Jamie Lyles to make an appointment. She can be reached by calling  252-446-4496 and choosing option 5.
