Breaking the Cycle of Crisis

The Salvation Army’s Pathway of Hope initiative provides individualized services to families with children who desire to break the cycle of crisis and vulnerability that repeats generation after generation. It seeks to address the root causes of poverty in addition to The Salvation Army’s history of compassionate serving. By helping families overcome challenges like unemployment, unstable housing, and lack of education, we can lead families down a path toward increased stability and, ultimately, self-sufficiency.

At the N.E.W. Salvation Army, our award-winning Social Services Director Jamie Lyles serves as the mentor for the Pathway of Hope program. Jamie loves her work with the Pathway of Hope program because it allows her to connect with others in more in-depth way.

"I am a mother to some, a sister to others, and a friend to all," Lyles said of her work with the program.

If you are a resident of Nash, Edgecombe or Wilson counties and are looking for your own Pathway of Hope, call Jamie Lyles at 252-446-4496 and choose option 5.
