2021 Angel Tree

Adopt An Angel

Many hard-working families in our community struggle to make ends meet from month to month.
Christmas is a joyous time for celebration, but the extra expenses of Christmas presents for the
children can strain a family’s already tight budget. Through The Salvation Army’s Angel Tree, you
help these families put smiles on their children’s faces on Christmas morning as they open the gifts
you have given!

Be a part of making Christmas morning smiles on close to 8,000 children’s faces by getting involved
with our Angel Tree! To help the close to 8,000 children, we have several ways you can participate.

*If interested in adopting a shelter family, including the mom, please email Stephen Gruver.

and times, and ways to volunteer!

Adopt an Angel Online

It’s quick and easy to click right here to adopt an angel online. You’ll see the children’s first names, ages
and gender, Christmas wishes and other information to help you choose an angel and shop for your angels’
gifts. You will receive reminders and updates on gift drop off locations.

The Salvation Army Angel Tree at Crabtree Valley Mall
We have an Angel Tree at Crabtree Valley mall where you can choose from a selection of angel tags hanging
on the tree to adopt and shop conveniently right there at the mall! The Angel Tree is located on the lower level
next to the Lego store, at the Kanki entrance. Our Angel Tree at the mall is open Monday – Saturday (closed Sundays)
from 10am – 9pm. We will close at 4pm Wednesday Nov. 24 and will be closed Thanksgiving Day. The Angel Tree
will operate until Saturday, December 11.

Group Sponsorships of 20 or more Angels
Interested business, churches and organizations can click here to contact us to adopt groups of 20 or more angels.
We will print angel tags and provide sturdy gift bags that you can pick up from our Center of Hope on Capital Boulevard.
You’ll also receive a spreadsheet to track the angels that your group members adopt. Your group can set up a tree in a
central location to hand the angel tags and receive the gifts, or they can return the gifts on their own to one of our drop off
locations. If you don’t need the tags and bags, you can just use the spreadsheet to assign angels to your group. Scroll
down for gift drop-off information below.

Host a Toy or Clothing Drive
We will also need new toys and new clothing to fill any wishes for any “forgotten” angels. We always
have some angels who’s gifts didn’t get returned in time for the families to pick up, so we also need a
variety of toys and clothing to fill their bags. Gifts for all ages are welcome, but we usually find ourselves
in most need of gifts for older children wearing larger men's and women's sizes. Please reach out to our
volunteer coordinator Thomas Harrison at 919-834-6733 ext. 66836 or email him.

Not sure if you can adopt or host a drive? Even donating a new pair of jeans, one
new shirt or new pair of shoes will make a difference!

Donate online to the Angel Tree
If you are unable to adopt an Angel online or would just prefer to donate to the Angel Tree program, please

Walmart Registry for Good

Another option is to click right here on the Walmart Registry For Good link to begin shopping for gifts
for our angels.

Volunteer at the Angel Tree or Christmas Center
Volunteers are needed to help at the Angel Tree at Crabtree Valley Mall and at ourChristmas Center,
sorting and preparing gifts for the families to pick up. Contact our Volunteer Coordinator by clicking here
or by calling Thomas Harrison at 919-834-6733, ext. 66836.
