2022 Angel Tree

Adopt an Angel
Many hard-working families in our community struggle to make ends meet from month to month.  Christmas is a joyous time for celebration, but the extra expense of Christmas presents for the children can strain a family’s already tight budget.  Through The Salvation Army’s Angel Tree, you help these families put smiles on their children’s faces on Christmas morning as they open the gifts you have given!

Be a part of making Christmas morning smiles on children’s faces by getting involved with our Angel Tree! We have several ways you can participate.

Keep scrolling for adoption of angels, for information on clothing and toy drives, drop off locations and times, and ways to volunteer!

Adopt an Angel Online - Click here to adopt an angel online.   You’ll see the children’s first names, ages and gender, and Christmas wishes.   Your angel’s clothing sizes will be displayed once you’ve selected and adopted your angel.  You will receive email reminders and updates on gift drop-off locations.

Donate to the Angel Tree - Click here to donate to the Angel Tree. If you aren't able to stop by our physical Angel Tree location or don't want to adopt an Angel online, you can make a donation to the Angel Tree campaign so that we may ensure that all children's Angel needs are fulfilled.

The Salvation Army Angel Tree at Crabtree Valley Mall Our Angel Tree at Crabtree Valley Mall will be open November 11th through December 16th, Monday – Saturday (closed Sundays) from 10am – 9pm.   We will close at 4pm Wednesday Nov. 23 and will be closed Thanksgiving Day.  You can choose from a selection of angel tags hanging on the tree to adopt and shop conveniently right there at the mall!   You can find the Angel Tree on the lower level next to the Lego store, at the Kanki entrance.

Group Sponsorships of 20 or more Angels - Interested business, churches and organizations can click here for information on adopting 20 or more angels.  We will print angel tags and provide sturdy gift bags that you can pick up from our Center of Hope on Capital Boulevard.  Your group can set up a tree in a central location to distribute the angel tags and collect the gifts, or they can return the gifts directly to one of our drop-off locations.   If you don’t need the tags and bags, we can provide you with a link to the assigned angels to your group and an excel file.   Scroll down for gift drop-off information below.

Host a Toy or Clothing Drive - New toys and new clothing are needed to fill wishes for any “forgotten” angels.  We always have some angels whose gifts didn’t get returned in time for the families to pick up, so we need a variety of toys and clothing to fill their bags.   Gifts for all ages are welcome, but we are usually in most need of gifts for older children wearing larger men’s and women’s sizes.

Walmart Registry for Good - Another option is to click right here on the Walmart Registry For Good link to begin shopping for gifts for our angels.

Volunteer at the Angel Tree or Christmas Center – Volunteers are needed to help at the Angel Tree at Crabtree Valley Mall and at our Christmas Center, sorting and preparing gifts for the families to pick up.   Contact our Volunteer Coordinator by clicking here or by calling Rosemary Weber at 919-390-6732 or email her rosemary.weber@uss.salvationarmy.org

Drop off dates and locationsthe “due back” date for gifts will vary, depending on when and where you adopted your angel.   This is staggered so that we can receive, sort and prepare gifts for the families to pick up in a organized way.   You’ll be given a “due date” at the time you adopt your angel.  Gifts can be dropped off at the following locations:

The Salvation Army Judy D. Zelnak Center of Hope - 1863 Capital Boulevard; Raleigh, NC

Monday – Thursday 8:00 am – 4:45 pm  (may close earlier Thanksgiving Eve, November 23rd)

Friday – 8:00 am – 1:45 pm

Crabtree Valley Mall - Glenwood Avenue side, lower level of blue parking deck.  Entrance beside Kanki restaurant – we’re beside the LEGO store

Monday – Saturday (not Sundays) from 10am to 9:00 pm until Friday, Dec. 16.  The Angel Tree will close early at 4:00 pm Nov. 23 and be closed Nov. 24 for Thanksgiving.

BEGINNING DECEMBER 5TH  from 8:00 am to 4:45 pm

Gifts may be dropped off directly at our Christmas Center

1300 Buck Jones Road; Raleigh, NC  27606 (formerly Anchor Auto)
