Harris Teeter Rounds up for The Salvation Army
Harris Teeter announced the launch of its Salvation Army Round Up Campaign. From August 24 through Nov. 1, Harris Teeter shoppers are invited to round up their transaction to the nearest whole dollar at checkout. One hundred percent of funds raised will be distributed evenly among Salvation Army commands and local United Way chapters throughout Wake County.
The Salvation Army of Wake County assists individuals and families-in-need by providing food for the hungry, emergency relief for disaster survivors, rehabilitation services and clothing and shelter for those facing homelessness.
“We are once again grateful to Harris Teeter and our partnership that helps us serve those in need in Wake County,” said Major Chuck Whiten, area commander for The Salvation Army of Wake and Lee Counties. “Harris Teeter’s Round Up campaign will help families in Wake County that are in desperate need of hope.”
All funds collected through this campaign will remain local, benefitting the local United Way and The Salvation Army of Wake County.
This is the third year in a row that Harris Teeter, The Salvation Army, and United Way have partnered for the Round Up campaign.
