ACORNS (Addressing Crises through Outreach, Referrals, Networking and Service)

Run by the City of Raleigh, The ACORNS program works with residents in crisis and directs them to available resources. The team is available to help any Raleigh resident in crisis, with the goal of preventing future crisis for that person.

 

 

Advance Community Health

Advance Community Health is one of 42 Community Health Centers in North Carolina. Community Health Centers are private, nonprofit, patient-governed, community-directed organizations that remove common barriers to care by serving communities whose residents have historically experienced financial, geographic, language, cultural, or other barriers to receiving care.

The Bridge International

The Bridge International Mission is to empower and support all individuals who have experienced human trafficking by bridging the gaps between underserved communities, local services, and community awareness.

CASA

CASA's mission is to provide access to stable, affordable housing for people who are homeless or at risk by developing and managing rental communities.

City of Raleigh

The City of Raleigh is the capital of North Carolina, home to several colleges and universities, with a vibrant performing arts community. Fueled by an impressive mix of education, ingenuity and collaboration, North Carolina's capital city has become an internationally recognized leader in life science and technology innovation. They City of Raleigh provides us with critical funds to support our shelter.

 

Families Together

Through direct support and advocacy, Families Together assists families with children as they transition from homelessness to sustainable housing and stable homes. They host life skills classes for our residents. 

The Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina

Providing food for the community for over 40 years, the Food Bank works across the food system to provide access to nutritious food for families, children, seniors and individuals. We are grateful for their support of our food pantry.

The Green Chair Project

Green Chair provides furnishings and housing essentials to families transitioning into stable housing but struggling to secure household staples and essentials. They help our shelter families with critical resources. 

Healing Transitions

The mission of Healing Transitions is to offer innovative peer-based, recovery-oriented services to homeless, uninsured and underserved individuals with alcoholism and other drug addictions. Their program is specifically designed to rekindle a person’s desire and ability to return to a meaningful and productive life.

Interact

Dedicated to ending the cycle of domestic and sexual violence in Wake County, North Carolina, InterAct saves lives, rebuilds lives, and secures safer futures for victims and survivors and their families.

Inter-Faith Food Shuttle

The Food Shuttle recovers and distributes over 9 million pounds of food annually, and teaches skills for self-sufficiency including culinary job skills, shopping and cooking healthy on a budget. They help us with food pantry donations. 

Justice Matters

Founded in 2009, Justice Matters is a nonprofit law firm that addresses the roots (causes) and repercussions (impacts) of human trafficking. They help clients overcome legal barriers to safety, stability, and services, which are foundational to wellbeing. They advocate for systems change to prevent human trafficking from happening in the first place.

Little Makers Academy

Little Makers provides childcare and stresses the importance of kindergarten preparedness, character building, and creativity. They help our clients in providing critical childcare services. 

Lotus Campaign

Lotus Campaign is a nonprofit engaging the private sector to solve homelessness in a whole new way. It unites real estate leaders, landlords, service providers and philanthropists to dramatically reduce homelessness. 

Marbles Kids Museum

Marbles serves a diverse population of families, school groups and community organizations with themed exhibits, summer camps and special events. Marbles provides our shelter families with free visits and trainings. 

NCCASA (NC Coalition Against Sexual Assault)

NCCASA is an inclusive, statewide alliance working to end sexual violence through education, advocacy, and legislation.

 

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services 

NCDHSS manages the delivery of health and human-related services for all North Carolinians, especially the community's most vulnerable citizens – children, elderly, disabled and low-income families. They sponsor our CATCH program. 

Oak City Cares

A hub for connecting individuals and families, who are at risk of, or are experiencing homelessness, to coordinated services that create a path to stable housing and renewed hope. The primary and overarching goal of Oak City Cares is to make homelessness in our community rare, brief and non-recurring.

 

Prevent Child Abuse America

Prevent Child Abuse is the nation’s oldest and largest organization committed to  preventing child abuse and neglect before it happens. The organization promotes programs and resources informed by science that enable kids, families, and entire communities to thrive—today, tomorrow, and for generations to come. ​They provide us with our Circle of Parents curriculum. 

The Raleigh Housing Authority

The mission of the Raleigh Housing Authority is to provide safe, quality, affordable housing to low and moderate income families in the greater Raleigh community, and to promote personal responsibility and self-sufficiency of residents. They assist us with set aside public housing units for our shelter residents transitioning to permanent housing.

St. John's MCC

St. John’s MCC is part of the global movement of Metropolitan Community Churches. They provide drop in shelter alongside us as well as resources for our drop in shelter.  

TLC

TLC empowers individuals of all abilities to live their fullest life, serving children, adults, and families through on-site and community-based programs: educational services, respite care, early childhood intervention, community living support, and residential living. They provide early childhood services for our clients. 

 

Wake County Public Schools

With more than 150,000 students and nearly 200 schools, Wake County Public Schools is the largest public school district in North Carolina and among the top 20 largest school districts in the nation. It is referral partner for us to help children experiencing homelessness.

 

Wake Smiles

Wake Smiles serves thousands of uninsured adults in Wake County who have little to no access to quality dental care. The cliniic provides access to comprehensive care, with the goal of preventing and curing debilitating dental disease. Core services are provided by volunteer dental professionals with a passion for giving back to their local community.

Wheels 4 Hope

Wheels 4 Hope provides safe, reliable, affordable vehicles to people who need them. Relying on public transportation can be challenging. These donated vehicles from area residents help our families become self-sufficient and allow them to get to work more easily.
