Planned Giving, For an Impact Far Beyond Your Lifetime

Mar 2, 2026

We all want our children and grandchildren to have everything they need in order to be happy. It is what drives us. We work and struggle to succeed to the point where we have something to pass along to the next generation of our family. We do everything we can to teach them how to navigate the obstacles they will inevitably experience. We provide them with the resources to build the life of their dreams. We pick them up when they fall and we encourage them at every turn. Because of our sacrifices, effort, and many blessings, our children and grandchildren will likely never experience the hardships of not having enough.

But, what about those in our community who have been debilitated by generational poverty, malnutrition, violence, and unforeseen tragedies? Who will look out for them and who will help them fight their way out of the their circumstances?

The unfortunate truth is, there will always be people in our community who will suffer from poverty, homelessness, hunger, and loneliness.

"There but for the grace of God, go I".

If you feel called to leave a legacy of support and compassion for the most vulnerable in our community, please consider one of the options in our Planned Giving program.

Whether you choose to give through retirement assets, life insurance, real estate, securities, a will or trust, or another planned giving option, your support strengthens The Salvation Army’s mission for generations to come.

Together, we can continue providing compassion, dignity, and hope to those who need it most. Your planned gift—no matter the size—leaves a legacy that echoes far into the future.
