Ensembles

Lights Up!

Lights Up! is our youth creative arts ensemble. This group focuses on developing artistic skills, provides leadership and teaching opportunities, and performance experience at events such as Youth Councils and DSA Graduation. Actors, dancers and musical theater performers aged 13-25 are invited to audition for this group at the beginning of each DSA season.

Divisional Creative Arts Ensemble

The Divisional Creative Arts Ensemble strives for excellence in their artistry and focuses on the production of original work. Performance and ministry opportunities include teaching at DSA, performing at Women's Retreat and more. All dancers/actors/performers/designers/writers aged 18+ are invited to audition for this group.

WHAT IS CREATIVE ARTS?
Creative arts refers to activities that involve imagination, creativity, curiosity and exploration, and can include things like dance, drama, visual arts, and more.  In a church setting, these art forms help to tell the story of the gospel, captivating the hearts, minds and imaginations of those who experience this.  The primary function of art in church should be to enhance worship and to help further the gospel.
