Volunteer Opportunities:

Whether you’re looking to make a difference on your own or as part of a group, The Salvation Army of Central Oklahoma offers a variety of volunteer opportunities, both one-time and ongoing, where your help can truly make an impact.

Angel Tree Program

Imagine a Christmas where every child wakes up to the gift they wished for under the tree. Through our annual Angel Tree program, we’re working toward that vision. Families facing financial challenges can register their children to receive Christmas presents. You can be part of this effort by serving as a Corporate Angel Tree Sponsor, adopting a Virtual Angel, or purchasing a gift from our Gift Registry. Red Kettle Bell Ringing

The sound of bells ringing during the holiday season isn’t just a tradition, it's a lifeline. By volunteering, to ring a bell, you help fill the kettle, ensuring we can provide vital services to Central Oklahomans throughout the year. Sign up at RegistertoRing.com.

Red Shield Diner: Provide, Prepare, and Serve

Step into service by providing or helping us prepare and serve meals to those in need at our Red Shield Diner. Volunteer from 3 PM to 6 PM, or drop off a prepared meal by 3:30 PM. Opportunities are available in Cleveland and Oklahoma counties.

Volunteers also needed to make sandwiches on Wednesdays.

Night Watch

Every Tuesday and Thursday evening, our volunteers head out into different areas of Oklahoma City to provide meals and comfort to the homeless. Volunteers can also help from 9 AM to 11 AM by assembling sandwiches for distribution.

Food Pantry

Join us in the fight against hunger by assisting individuals as they select groceries at our Client Choice Food Pantry. Volunteer hours are available from 9 AM to 12 PM and 1 PM to 4 PM, Monday through Wednesday and on Friday. Opportunities are available in Cleveland and Oklahoma counties.

Boys and Girls Club

Help shape the future by investing in the lives of young people at The Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club. Spend your afternoons mentoring and guiding the youth who need it most.

Transportation Assistance

Deliver essential supplies to senior centers across Oklahoma City. All you need to do is pick up food at our location at 1001 N. Pennsylvania Ave, OKC, Monday through Thursday from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM.

Emergency Disaster Relief

Be part of a team ready to spring into action when disaster strikes. With comprehensive training provided, you’ll be prepared to help when your community needs it most. Opportunities are available across all counties.
